Established in July 1988, the CHINA CHAMBER OF COMMERCE FOR IMPORT AND EXPORT OF MACHINERY AND ELECTRONIC PRODUCTS (CCCME) is a national non-profit organization formed by various economic entities specialized in production, import and export and other activities in the mechanical and electrical industry.
In accordance with Article 56 of Chapter 9 of the Foreign Trade Law of the People’s Republic of China, CCCME’s mission is to support its members on production, marketing, communication and training issues. It plays a positive role in coordination and self-discipline, submits applications for trade remedies, protects the interests of its members and the industry, informs the relevant authorities of its members’ suggestions and promotes foreign trade.
As the only Chinese chamber of commerce in the mechanical and electronic sector, CCCME has nearly 10,000 member companies, and represents the industry as a whole, bringing together industry leaders as well as small and medium-sized enterprises and foreign trade companies. In June 2012, the Ministry of Civil Affairs awarded CCCME the AAAAA (5A) rating of Non-Governmental Organizations.
